Beaumier Heritage Center in Marquette

On Saturday, March 23, I had the opportunity to be a part of the Upper Peninsula Folklife Festival in Marquette, Michigan at the Beaumier Heritage Center on Northern Michigan University's campus!

There were 12 ladies in my class and they learned the weaving technique called "twining."  They all walked away with a hotpad-size piece, made from recycled clothing.

It was a fun afternoon.  I enjoyed my weekend in Marquette...thank you!
