This is a table/corner in the studio that Katie displayed for me. I love it!

Here are a few pictures from the Christmas Bazaar we participated in at Cedarville schools. This show was sponsored by the Les Cheneaux Preschool. Katie was home from college so she helped me. It was fun having her with me!

Needle punch/needle felting -- whatever you want to call it -- it is beautiful, fun and easy to do! The one on the bottom is a needle punched pillow and the top one is the same design but a larger scale -- a wall hanging. The wall hanging is not complete.

These two projects were inspired by a watercolor my daughter, Katie, did for her art class in college. It is easy to take a picture and recreate it on wool! You should give it a try.

This is a patchwork rag rug made up of 12 hotpad size rag rugs, sewn together. There is no limit to the size rug you can create!

Call us to find out what rag rugs are all about!

This rug is 100% cotton and sells for $120.

Woolderness is now carrying "SHEPHERD'S WOOL." This yarn is spun right here in Michigan at the Stonehedge Fiber Mill in East Jordan. Debbie also processes all my wool for me and does a great job?

Shepherd's Wool is 100% merino (wool) and you must hand wash your items after they are knitted or they will shrink. It doesn't get much softer than merino.

Shepherd's Wool comes in finger and worsted weight in a wide variety of colors.

What do you do with scrap and/or left over yarn? Answer: you create a beautiful felted bag! That is if the yarn is WOOL! I knitted this bag from my scraps of handspun and I LOVE it!

So sorry that I have not updated my blog for such a long time.

The Woolderness Knitting Group is alive and well. We are meeting every Tuesday from 12 noon until 2:30 -3 p.m. Some days we just can't stop knitting. Everyone is working on a different project, but on the side we are working on mini ornaments for a Christmas tree that we will decorate for the Cedarville Historical Museum in November. (We are starting early!!)

Woolderness just received some great ALPACA. It is a blend of white and light brown. They are beautiful together. It sells for $3/ounce.

We also have some new Border Leicester (natural white) and some SouthDown (natural white). Both are "yummy" to spin.

Woolderness will be spinning up a storm to have some beautiful yarns for the spring. I will also be spinning natural white wools and will custom dye for you! Just let me know what you want.

More later...

Can you guess what this rug is made out of? Suzanne spent the afternoon creating this beautiful rug out of ties. This rug is a collection of her father's old ties -- what a great memory to walk on.

Remember... you can WEAVE just about anything!
