Woolderness will be closed on Thursday, March 26 & Friday, March 27. I am off to the Breslin Center on MSU's campus to watch the Cedarville Trojans play basketball in the state semifinals!

CLASSES AT WOOLDERNESS!

Thanks to Shelley, Patti & Diane we had a great time at Woolderness today! Shelley created a beautiful needle punched pillow top; Patti learned how to needle felt a wool purse, and Diane worked on her rug hooking.

SPRING FLING NEWS!

The RAG RUGS class is filling fast. I already have 6 people signed up; the maximum is 8. We are sure to have a great time!

RAG RUGS!

Here is a sample of a placemat that was made on the rag rug frame. This placemat is made from 1" strips of homespun & flannel fabric. What a great way to use up scraps of fabric or cut up old clothes!

A larger frame is also available so you can make a rug.

Call Woolderness to sign up for the Rag Rug class. The class cost $25. It does not include the frame. Take the class, see if it is something you will enjoy. If you find that you LOVE it, then buy the frame and ENJOY! The small frame sells for $40.

RAG RUGS!

Woolderness has added a new class -- Rag Rugs! You are looking at the frame you use to make these wonderful rugs and placements.

Here are the needle punch kits that we offer. The small kits sells for $4.99. The larger kits sells for $8. Each kits consists for a piece of wool felt, dyed roving (a variety of colors) and one needle.

We also carry an even larger kits that sells for $19.50. The wool felt piece in this kit measures approx. 17" X 19", and you get 2 needles. A picture of this kit can be found in past postings.

For each kit you have a choice of 3 different colors of the wool felt -- white, brown or black (dark gray).

Needle Punched Pillows...anyone can do!

Aren't they cute? These are NEEDLE PUNCHED pillows. Above is a bear...can't you tell? This pillow sells for $22.

Below is our favorite animal...the wonderful sheep! This pillow sells for $24.


Here are daisies or are they sunflowers? You tell me. This pillow sells for $15.

Apples, peaches, pumpkin pie, sorry, I mean APPLES, PEARS AND BANANAS! These small pillows sell for $12 or you can buy a "mini needle punch kit" for $4.99 and make it yourself!

WOOLDERNESS now has wool batts! 100% Columbia wool wrapped in cheesecloth. I will post a picture tomorrow.

SPRING FLING

Spring Fling brochures are now out! If you would like to receive a copy, leave me a comment, call me or email me and I will see that you get one. You will also be put on the mailing list for next year. Spring Fling is May 15, 16 & 17 at Northwoods Christian Camp in Pickford.

Jan and Mary: a copy will be sent to you; you don't need to call.

SEASONAL HOURS

Woolderness' hours for the winter are Tuesday - Friday, 11 - 4 p.m. Evenings are by appointment, so please call ahead and make arrangements.

If you are coming from a distance, I suggest you call ahead and make sure we are open. Sometimes I get called away and have to close the studio.

Our summer hours will begin in May. We will be open Tuesday - Friday, 10 - 5; Saturdays, 9 - 2. We will have some evening hours, but as of now the day has not been determined.

SPRING FLING is coming. Mark your calendars and plan on attending this year's Spring Fling! This fabulous weekend is sponsored by the Country Spinners and Bridge Shuttlers Guild. May 15, 16 & 17 -- held at Northwoods Christian Camp in Pickford. You can come for the whole weekend or just for one class.

Woolderness will have a booth at Spring Fling again this year and I will also be teaching the "Rag Rugs" class. This class is also offered at the studio all year round.
