Happy Birthday Bracelet class

Woolderness now has a birthday party class for young girls! For $8/child, they will learn how to make felt balls and turn them into bracelets. Aren't they fun!

NEW! SHEEP MUGS

Woolderness now has "sheep" mugs. They are wonderful! They are handcrafted by our local artist, Julie Porter. They sell for $18.

More rag rug frames

We sell 3 different sizes of rag rug frames -- rug size, placemat size, and hotpad size. They sell for $60, $40, & $18. We also teach a class in how to make these rugs. Give us a call -- 906-484-1258

Rag rug frames

This is the frame that the wool rug was made on. It is made of cedar. This frame sells for $60. If you have any questions about this frame, give us a call - 906-484-1258

Wool Rag Rug

I finally finished my wool rag rug. This is a closeup so you can see all the fabric that I put into it. To the left is the full view.

This rug is made of 100% wool fabric, made by hand and beautiful! (I decided to put some fringe on this rug -- handspun yarn to match!) -- I will have to post another picture of the rug with the fringe on it -- look for it in a few days.

This rug sells for $150.

Sorry about the "double" needle punch kits. I still do not understand what I am doing with this blog. Did you ever wonder why the format never changes? It's because I don't know how to change it! Yek! I need help!

Needle Punch Kit

This is our new packaging for our Needle Punch Kit. The kit sells for $25. You get a piece of wool felt (17"x19"), 2 needles, 9 different colors of wool for punching.

This is Catherine. She is the first person to create a felted scarf at Woolderness. Thanks, Catherine, for creating a new project! I think the finished length was 6 ft.

This is a bracelet class. They did a great job! So did mom.

This is a wool-wrapped bar of soap.

Boat Show 2009

The day started out very WET, but by 1:30 it cleared up and people poured into the Boat Show. Woolderness was very busy as well. I think a lot of people wanted to get out of the rain -- what a great place to find!

Woolderness has a few new items for sale. I will be posting them on this blog in the next few days. Here is a sample: sheep mugs created by Heerspink & Porter Pottery (local potters), felted sheep ornaments, teacup pin cushions, felted bracelets and wool wrapped soap.
The ladies are hard at work. We have some "very experienced" knitters in our group. They do some beautiful work!
